An exceptional gathering of surgical expertise and innovation. The STS Coronary Conference 2025 brought together leading cardiac surgeons and researchers from around the world to share cutting-edge strategies in coronary revascularization. Over three dynamic days in Chicago, the spirit of science, collaboration, and surgical excellence was on full display. I was honored to present our experience with sequential grafting of the skeletonized Left Internal Mammary Artery (LIMA) to the left coronary system during the Rapid-Fire oral session. A remarkable opportunity to contribute and exchange ideas with some of the most respected names in the field.

Three Inspiring Days at ESCVS 2025 – Athens, Greece
It was a privilege to attend the ESCVS 2025 Meeting held at the Royal Olympic Hotel in Athens—a truly outstanding three-day event. With a distinguished lineup of speakers from around the world, the conference highlighted the latest advancements in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. A celebration of science, respect, and achievement at the highest level of academic exchange.

68th ESCVS kongres, Groningen, Holandija

Od 22. do 25. maja 2019. godine, održan je 68. kongres Evropskog društva za kardiovaskularnu i endovaskularnu hirurgiju (ESCVS) u Groningenu, u Holandiji. Događaj je organizovan u saradnji sa Institutom Venckebach Univerzitetskog medicinskog centra Groningen (UMCG).

ESCVS je najstarije društvo u Evropi na polju kardiohirurške i vaskularne hirurgije, a osnovali su ga Rene Leriche i R. Dos Santos 1950. godine. Poznati stručnjaci iz celog sveta predstavili su najnovija dostignuća u ovoj oblasti. ESCVS 2019 imalo je preko 1000 učesnika.

Godišnji kongres Evropskog udruženja kardiovaskularnih i endovaskularnih hirurga održan je u Strazburu (Francuska) od 12-14 Aprila 2018.

U radu Kongresa učestvovalo je preko 500 učesnika iz 63 zemlje, sa preko 300 prezentovanih naučnih radova. Svoje mesto pronašli su i radovi sa IKVBV Sremska Kamenica:

  1. Mitral Valve Repair in Barlow’s Disease: the restoration technique (Živojin Jonjev et all.)
  2. Coronary artery bypass grafting vs. percutaneous coronary intervention in single-vessel LAD disease (Živojin Jonjev et all.)
